Animation

I have worked in animation and visual effects as a 3D generalist and a character animator. You can watch my showreel below, or choose from a selection of shots from some of my previous projects. Information about each one will display below the player.

Fight for Life

Fight For Life is a BBC medical documentary series featuring BAFTA, VES and RTS Award-winning visual effects.

I modelled, rigged and animated on a large number of shots in the series. The shots featured photoreal interior body shots, such as hearts beating and imaginary endoscopic journeys around the brain. It also featured the body at a microscopic level, depicting, for example, heart cells and brain cells. Procedures and medical problems were also explained using 'Trauma Vision' - animated x-ray imagery.

Gaspard and Lisa

Gaspard and Lisa is a 52 x 11 minute pre-school series that I worked on from September 2009 until December 2010. The series was produced by Impossible TV for Chorion and is currently broadcasting on TF1 in France.

I was involved in the project all the way from pre-production until the delivery of the final episodes. My main role in the team was character animator and I animated up to two minutes of footage on twenty of the episodes. I also modelled and textured in the pre-production stage and I played an important role in making changes to existing shots as requested by the director, Kitty Taylor and Chorion to ensure that they were finished to a high standard.

I was responsible for all character animation in the shots in the above compilation.

As the series is currently being broadcast, I will be regularly updating the clips here, so come back to see more soon!

Lego

I animated a series of Lego adverts that were shown in cinemas and a series of Lego Bionicle adverts that were televised, both nationally.

The cinema adverts feature a presenter, Chuck, introducing a feature Lego advert and each time being interrupted by a Lego character in the front row of the audience.

The Bionicle television adverts are presented by Toa Onua, reporting a battle in the Swamp of Secrets and encouraging fans to visit the Bionicle website.

I was responsible for all character animation in the above compliation.

Digital UK

I animated a number of banner adverts for Digital UK, featuring their mascot Digit Al.

In the shots in the above compilation, I was responsible for all character animation and I rigged the character and cleaned up the model.
